In the 55th minute, William sent the ball into the penalty zone from the left, arriving at David Louise inside the penalty zone and knitted the ball but rebranded from the right leg.
In the 59th minute, Saka hit the ball directly, but passed over the bar off the field.
In the 64th minute, Mikel Artita made the first switch out of Mohamed Al-Nini, Nazol Joy and Ylock.
Arsenal players continued their attempts to realize the draw but without benefit, so that the meeting would end with Everton's win by two goals against a goal.
With that result, Everton temporarily rose to the second position, after raising its score to 26 points, while Arsenal's modest balance was frozen this season, at 14 points in 15th place.
